Spark Legal and Policy Consulting website

The context:In early 2023, Spark Legal and Policy Consulting (then known as the Spark Legal Network) approached Fastlane with two problems. First, their website was old-fashioned and needed a refresh. Then, the database they had been using to store the contact details and information on experts in their network wasn't meeting their expectations anymore and lacked scalability. They wanted a new tool that would be easier to use, more refined and more future-proof Our approach:As we assessed Spark's request, we quickly came to realise that the two projects could in fact become one and the same. One day, experts could maybe be enabled to edit some of their information themselves, while Spark could eventually need to display some information on the projects each expert was working on directly on their website. So why not merge both? Using WordPress custom post types and features developed specifically for Spark, we created two cross-feeding databases for projects and experts. One these were operational, we started building the new website. Our priorities? A clearer site structure and a more cohesive and modern look and feel, all sprinkled with smooth and sober animation.
